Julia Marino
Julia Marino, a Connecticut native originally started with skiing, but ended up making a switch to snowboarding when she was 12 years old. Though it was a late start in snowboarding relative to many of her peers, Marino progressed quickly enough that she captured a surprise victory at the 2016 Fenway Big Air contest when she was 18, bursting onto the scene. At just 18 years of age, Julia became the first woman to ever land a cab double underflip and a double backflip in slopestyle competition within the same run. Since then, she’s remained amazingly consistent, earning a spot on the Winter Olympic team in 2018, and claiming numerous podium wins at elite competitions including X Games and Dew Tour.
