Lauren Brew is a writer, editor, skateboarder and mentor living in Chicago. She was born in St. Louis, MO, began journalism and magazine design at 14, and started skating at 16. She joined froSkate a few months after it began in 2019, and now acts as CoCoordinator. Her passion revolves around bettering access to mental health services within BIPOC communities, and creating safe spaces for those who tend to go unseen. As skateboarding is oftentimes an activity many come to for solace, she aims to teach and inspire, both through this and her writing.
